A general overview of Wikipedia, which will include a description of the Wikimedian Foundation, and what Wikipedia is. Also I will discuss the “4 freedoms of Wikipedia,” and other core principles of Wikipedia. Statistics will be covered, including Wikpedia’s traffic numbers, and number of articles. Wikipedia is also one of the web’s most successful communities, and the community aspects will be discussed.
